A Short StoryThe Officer languidly checked his clean, pressed suit for abstract creases as he stood up from his seat, chancing a glance outside his window pane for any stirring events. The city had a serious vermin problem and one could not but observe the streets without the tasteless expressions of disgust and anger. “So much vermin...” the Officer's eyes followed the rare shadows of movement hugging the edges of buildings as his ears followed the hurried footfalls of those approaching his office door.A Short Story
